Loma Hietala offers various possibilities to activities. There are woods to go hiking, you can take advantage of the cabin at the lake Kähtävä. There are two lakes and a river to go fishing. You can go jogging to the woods, skiing in the winter; there are a lot of cross country skiing tracks around Loma Hietala and skiing center Louekallio. You can also play Finnish baseball in the summer and ice hockey in the winter. In the neighboring towns Ylivieska and Kannus there are possibilities to do most anything in sports. In summertime you can visit JukuJukuMaa, Sani-Fani bathing establishment or simply enjoy the best beaches of Finland in Kalajoki.
